West Harbour drawing are very much an early morning daily activity. Ingre said that drawing is the probity of all art. All the great artists have said the same thing in their own way. I do lots and lots of drawings of the subjects I am interested in; human or otherwise. When I feel I have done enough drawings, I find I don’t need to look at these drawings any more. They are seared into my memory and I can then feel free to improvise when I am painting.
